Achilles identifies, qualifies and evaluates suppliers on behalf of major organisations. UVDB Verify assesses each supplier’s safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) capabilities. Mac Civils holds Achilles UVDB Silver Plus.

Environmental ManagementISO 9001:2015 is recognised worldwide as the benchmark for quality management. Achieving it has enabled us to streamline our procedures so that we continue to perform and develop in line with the needs of our industry and our clients.
As we streamlined our procedures and moved to international standards, we took the opportunity to introduce an integrated system covering ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety and ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management.
Our Integrated Management System (IMS) brings all of our systems and processes into a single framework, enabling us to meet our clients’ requirements, improve our health and safety performance and reduce our impact on the environment.

Lloyd’s NERS
Under the Lloyd’s Register NERS scheme we are technically assessed for contestable works associated with the installation of electrical connections. We are a Tier 2 fully accredited NERS contractor.
FORS
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) covers every aspect of fleet safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and operational performance. It helps us measure and monitor our performance and demonstrate best practice, ensuring that our fleet operates efficiently and that our drivers are fit, healthy and competent. Mac Civils holds FORS Silver accreditation.
External audits are carried out each year by independent third parties to confirm that our systems are maintained and that any non-conformances are identified and corrected.
Through the introduction of the ISO standards and the continual development of our systems in line with Achilles UVDB, Lloyd’s Register NERS and FORS, we are striving to meet and exceed industry standards. We are building lasting relationships with clients and suppliers, and we have a great team around us.
